Meh! 55 thefts totalling £24,000 averages out at £436 per bike. Not exactly expensive bikes. The probability is that there were one or two expensive bikes and lots of cheaper ones.

Still, the loss of a bike is not nice - so I hope that catch a few thieving scrotes.

Which is the job of the police, as is gathering evidence and putting the case file to CPS, and then attending court.

If the scrote gets let off (as usual) or given a lenient sentence, who's to blame?

Yep, the POLICE.

Did I say that?

No.

Did I say you said that?

No.

Edit: My point being, the general public lay a lot of blame at the police door, when the (lax) judiciary are to blame. Your post provided the opportunity for me to get my view in (on topic) so to speak.
