Yes it happened to me yesterday thanks to the takeaway behind where I work constantly disgourging its waste fat and oil out of a faulty extractor and then going all over the road. Water and congealed fat are not very grippy!

A very irrate set of e-mails have been sent to the local council. I await their replies tomorrow with smoldering seething.

Oh we've been on to the council for years about them. They've sent teams of men round to clear the drains of this waste at least half a dozen times in the last four years. Yet the takeaway still gets away with no action taken other than a slapped wrist. Well I've had enough for one!

Are you going to speak to the CTC Legal People? If there have been previous complaints then you've probably got a case against the takeaway for doing it and the council for not stopping them. Hope you and the bike are OK.

I was thinking this. Certainly it sounds like the takeaway can't have any excuse. I'd certainly put a claim in, just to make a point and try to get them to stop.
