The Bearded Wonder (before my time)
Quentin Cook (decided Quentin wasn't rock'n'roll enough and changed it to Norman)
Tieing in with Greg's Robert Smith mention, Mathieu Hartley was at primary school with me.

Not sure about my old School??
But, on a tangent a fellow member (Charlie Lines) of my running-club is a PE teacher at Bradford Grammar School, & was the subject teacher for both Brownlee brothers, & the Thackrays (the ex GB Cyclo-Cross squad/Pace Research riders)
He still keeps in touch with Ali & Jonny, & got an award recently for his coaching work with them

Then, my mother-in-law worked with Ed Clanceys dad for a few years (she still tells me that she did every time he's on TV:rolleyes:) , & remembers this ginger haired scrawny kid coming into the Opticians where they worked asking for money for new tubs/shoes/shorts/bikes/etc.........

I was taught history by John Bailey - currently on Television with His Fishing in the footsteps of Mr Crabtree.
He was a brilliant teacher - taught me loads about.............. Pike, Perch, Bream etc!
He used to take us on History trips to places like Baconsthorpe Castle - which has a moat with trout in it.

Joking aside, he really was a good teacher (I got an O level!) and if you watch the TV programme you can see how good he is at encouraging children.

Peter Beardsley (Newcastle United & England Legend) was about 5 or 6 years ahead of me in my High School, his Dad Sammy used to go to my local aswell a few years back....infact most of the times he would end up getting barred for attempting to punch fellow drinkers (usually a third of his age !)
