Sweetcorn collects in large quantities in the sewers, as yellow as it was in the field.
...even after it's been eaten and passed through the digestive system...

I once worked at a huge sewage works during a summer break and other items that turned up quite frequently were lego bricks and ten and twenty pound notes. We studiously washed the notes, hung them out to dry and injected them back into the economy.

Occasionally a foetus would turn up and things would grind to a halt while the police and forensics dealt with the situation. It would traumatise the unfortunate worker who was unlucky enough to be working on the filter grids at the time.

That must have been expensive toilet paper......

I had a neighbour years ago who flushed nappies down the toilet and you always knew when she'd blocked the system up as she chuck them out the top floor window instead. Filthy wee cow that she was.

The worst thing I chuck down my pan is coffee grounds that are rinsed from the cafetiere. Everything else goes in the bin, compost or recycling.

I do compost what I can scoop out and rinse the rest down the loo. The pipes in this flat are so narrow that we have to be really careful what goes down the sink as it reappears in the shower tray whenever we run the washing machine. Honestly, you'd think I lived in a bloody hovel.
