... and again by a Tipper truck. Some clever statistician will wake up to the fact soon that Tipper trucks seem to be a major cause of death amongst Urnban cyclists, especially in London it seems.
Tragic

Apparently the guy killed was a 4th year med student. No name yet. The tipper truck was huge and apparently had no side guard rails. Apparently the site they service management assessement requirements are that these huge tipper trucks (Shard and Keltbray) don't use the narrow streets in which this fatality occurred but local residents say the trucks regularly ignore this.

Makes me feel sick in the pit of the stomach!

It really is about time that the punishment for murder / manslaughter by road vehicle at least matches that dished out for murder / manslaughter by gun or knife.

Horrible news.

I don't know any details about the incident, but that has always been a nasty location, I've had a few close shaves there myself and I've observed a lot of conflict between motor vehicles. It's a very narrow road at that point, with cars parked down one side, and although it's two-way, I think many drivers may be under the impression that it is one-way, especially those heading south from the one-way tunnel under the railway (which this lorry appears to have been doing).
