Fattys first sportive !

As the title says im a seventeen stone fatty, booked in for first ever sportive 8th august, bit apprehensive that everyones going to be mega fit and i finish twenty three hours after everyone else.

Im a bit of a decieving fatty, i have done the c2c a couple of times,

Half looking forward to it, half not by looking like a tw@

But hey ho, everyones got to start somewhere ! See what happens

Good luck. I have a few stone on you so nothing to worry about, there will be heavier people than you on the sportive and you will get round without a problem.

Good luck with the ride. Hubster did his first sportive when he was a bit over 17 stone and he has lived to tell the tale. Have a great time.

Sportives are supposed to be non competitive, so just concentrate on completing the course, I did the Cycle Together Sandringham 100 mile sportive about 3 weeks ago, and no way would I have finished in 6hrs 40 without the help of a couple of more able riders. Good luck with your ride, once you have finished, you will be itching to do another

Your the same weight as me, ive done loads of sportives and also partake in time trials........you'll be fine

What's your favourite sportive out of the many you've done jowwy. I loved the area when I did the velothon Wales and want to do more sportives in Wales now.

The wiggle wye valley warrior is a good, evans ride it and the iron mountain sportive...........for scenery it would have to be the warrior, difficulty its a toss up between the evans and iron mountain
