Apart from the classic falling-through-bar-flap and the chandelier bits, what are your fave moments?. A few of mine are (mostly inspired by Trigger  )

Trigger misunderstanding the meaning of 15 minutes of fame, claiming that you never hear from Ghandi since he only made the one film...

Trapped in a supermarket managers office all night with an armed would-be robber, Rodney inches towards him and goes for the fags instead of the gun

Rodney on the phone to Cassandra exclaiming that not everything Del touches goes wrong when the coach explodes...

Rodney asking Trigger why he's in the flat and Trig answers with the 'Well, Del said he'd give me a lift..' line. Rodney points out that not only does Trigger live nearer the pub than they do, but must've walked past it to get to them. Trigger just answers with the same line...

The running joke about Trigger always calling Rodney 'Dave'. The punchline took about 15 years to arrive, but was worth it:

Trigger (explaining to pub landlord about Rodney & Cassandra's baby name):

"If it's a girl, they'll call it Sigourney after an actress. And if it's a boy, they'll call it Rodney...after Dave"

Living in Bristol which doubled for Peckham, the famous three-wheel van once went past me at a set of lights on the back of a truck  .

What would your best moment be?.

In one of the very early episodes, theres a bit where Del and Rodney are trying to chat up a couple of girls in a nightclub and Del pretends they are professional tennis players and one of the girls asks Rodney whether he preferred grass or astroturf, to which Rodney replied he's never smoked astroturf.

One of the best scenes as got to be the rioting, Del pulls up in the Capri Ghia, the riot stops, he as a word with the copper, then a word with one of the rioters and drives through the riot, paps the three tone horn and the riot begins again, a classic.

Oh and when they are talking about what starts these things off, and all along it was Dell singing 'One voice' at 2 am in the morning

To Hull & Back is great and unique as the only story to be done on film without a studio audience.

Classic bits from it are:

Stopping by an oil rig in the sea and casually asking which way to Holland

Del chucking the diamond money out of the flat window in the mistaken belief that it's fake - it's real!.

When it ended.

I think it should be a rule that all comedy programmes end after two series. Sadly, any that enjoy success tend to be flogged until they de-solve into repetitive farce and are then given two final seasons.

Right, I'm off to be negative somewhere else

When Raquel gives birth, and Del dashes out of the delivery room and shouts "she's only bloody done it!" and Rodney asks, "What is it?" and Del says "It's a little baby!"

Crikey you did well - I didn't make it past the first episode.

(I'll join you at the bar of negativity...)

well I'm with Pete and Velvet Curtain... it went on way too long.

however, them specials with the definitive watch were great. I still chuckle at Cassandra asking Del not to use and French words when her father arrives... "Why doesn't he understand the old french lingo?" Asks Del. "Er... no" replies Cassandra.

"Mange tout my son, mange tout"
