Ive seen the boardman in the flesh, personally I think it looks a bit loud (beauty is in the eye of the beholder and all that). I'm not convinced on the huge advantage of the disk brakes to be honest --standard v/cantilever with a bit of care and maintenance seem to do the job for me . Is SRAM generally considered superior or is that just a preference of your's vickster?

Cheers for the feed back folks.

As long as I breathe, I attack.
Disc brakes offer better modulation and work better in the wet as they are not affected as much as rim brakes by the wet, they also do not need a true rim to brake well so you could ride home with a broke spoke and not have to adjust the brake block width to allow for a untrue wheel.
That all said i have a disc bike and i have fund setting it up right a pita but i an used to v brakes and caliper brakes .
