Trundling around my local Morrison's earlier today I noticed quite a few offers on Christmas food.

I availed myself of six mince pies for 50p - they would normally be a pound or more.

My other purchase was a box of Terry's All Gold chocolates, not the biggest box at 200g but cheap enough at £1.

Have you seen any festive food bargains?

Microwave Turkey dinner in M&S yesterday £1.10 plus loads more that the better half managed to find and buy in about ten minutes,

The local co-op had a huge pile of stuff which all seemed to be priced at 12p. I didn't bother but hope that there is a Scottish Borders equivalent of Patrick who happens to be passing and pops in and spots the bargains; and that he then goes onto whatever forum he frequents and provides a simple supper recipe for all to enjoy.

I ignored the yard of wispa for £1 in Tescos yesterday. If I had any (choc) willpower it would have been handy to have about the house. However knowing me, once I'd started it.......
Sorry, but as a seriously serious cyclist, who is the best 150+ lb climber in my street, and regularly receives kudos from Sir Bradley whenever I post a new record on Strava, I cannot be tainting my athlete's body with sugar laden post Christmas leftovers.

Besides, I've got so much sweet stuff left over I won't need to buy anything for a month.
yebbut, I'm sure there's something that Just-Eat could tempt you with

I am waiting for the New Year cheese reductions :hungry:

The local Morrisons had a Guard Of Honour on offer - fantastic flavour (not my pic)

A couple of years ago, the Co-op around the corner, on Christmas eve, reduced their puff pastry mince pies but forgot to cancel the 'buy one get one half price' offer. This meant that buying 2 packs took 50p off the bill! My dozen packs saved me £3 on the shopping. :okay:

I did that last week, but with hair conditioner. My daughter pointed out there were 3 bottles reduced to half price in Boots, so I bought them wondering if they would honour the 3 for 2 which they did!

Food bargain wise I haven't spotted lots of Christmas food reduced here, or the locusts got there first. But I'll keep watching especially for some Stilton.
