City Slickers - I really wanted to learn how to ride horses after seeing that. Really fired me up. I was well up for heading out on the open plains (of East Yorkshire) when I came out of the cinema.

The black & white TV series Robinson Crusoe from the 1960s made me want to be a beach bum/drifter/sun worshipper/alternative life-style seeker.

I'm slowly getting there.

'Apollo 13' and 'From The Earth To The Moon' regarding my interest in manned spaceflight (I can tell you the names of all the guys who went to the moon and what they did). Hell, just fire me up in a rocket any day, I wont mind, the view alone would be worth it!

Agincourt and my short lived foray into Archery (before I realised just how mindnumbingly boring it is after you progress past a certain point) .

Champions and my like of horses (as animals, not the racing aspect. I'll learn how to ride one day however).

The film about that French guy who tightrope walked between the two World Trade Centres. I'd LOVE to learn how to walk a tightrope.

There are a few others, but those are the main ones.

I took up More Cycling and went on Cycle tours and camping

Yeah Mark Beumont cycling the world and his americas documentaries got me into cycle touring, and because of that I cycled myself from Gibraltar to Yorkshire last year raising a few grand for charity, in the process and giving myself one of the best achievements in my life.


Serious serious hats off to the guy!



Twister made me want to go to the mid west and do some tornado spotting.. maybe I can combine the two and do a cycle tour? How coold would tha tbe, cycling along a road with a big ass tornado going in the distance! Be a bit worrying if one got a bit close tho.. cant imagine being able to outrun one on a fully loaded touring bike haha!
