finally gone clipless less

no clipless anymore both bikes are flats. liberating. if my feet are cold i put on my waterproof walking boots. if my feet are hot i will put on my tevos'. no more faffing at lights or uphill starts in granny gear. no more iffy moments on lee quarry black route. no more thinking of over shoes or ridiculously priced winter boots. guess what? average mph just the same. liberating.

A selection of shoes to wear? thats to much choice for me, i would never leave the house. i'll stick to the clipless

on a side note: the only way to find out they aren't for you is to try. don't stick to something you don't like

i have had clipless so long i forgot about the clipless moments early on. must be 23 years i think.

Nothing against flats - I seem to recall reading about study(ies) that have shown clipped in cycling is actually a little less efficient.

I recently bought a new bike here and it had flats which I used for a few rides and I found them OK. However I've since bought new clipless pedals and shoes and now find the ride much better!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No, no windup. I've no idea if it's true or not, or how reliable the studies were. I don't mind either way on the answer, I'm happy with clipless for longer distances, and flats for a cruise to the shoppes.
