At long last, yesterday my partner has finally got a bike. He settled for the Fuji Absolute 3.0. A very good deal!!! It was the previous days trip to Decathlon that did it as he was trying the bikes in the store.
He has his old racer bike still in a box that's been delivered to a mates car garage - he's planning to fix it up but I think that'll be a longer term goal!

So already he's started with the n+1, we can't really afford it but it was fun to bike shop and means we'll be getting out on the bikes more for small journeys which should help me back into the saddle. What a day for it though, yesterday was wet and nasty. Though I felt like such a proud parent when I watched him pedal off into the distance. Will gradually build his fitness and confidence up and hopefully he can come on a CC ride soon!

He had plans to cycle from one end of London to the other today but after cycling in the rain and not being fully prepared for it yesterday we've both got sniffles. He doesn't feel 100% about doing it without me so we'll do it another time. Not excuses...honest!!!

South east London zone 3 up to east zone 3, do-able but at a very easy pace. It's actually good for me to cycle with him as he keeps me at a easy pace so I don't end up tearing through the streets and knackering myself with delusions of my former fitness levels!

all you both need know is a couple of spare bike and a shed full of old spares removed from other old ones

I have a load of bikes...there's no chance he's going near them to harvest for bits!!!

I have a giant scr 3.0 - Jed the commuter
A Ribble Ribelle - Kilner the carbon one
A heavy folder - Dylan (lives with my brother at present)
Dolan fixed track bike - Aleeze, hardly been used as my fitness and knees are just not up to it at present
Specialized Hybrid Crosstrail Elite - Aveline - sentimental bike, hardly ridden but much loved.

There's the new bike described above (called Zed)
and a unknown quantity waiting in a garage - probably feeling very unloved at the moment!

n=1 T? What could that mean????!!!

User, I hear that you've got a new steed.

Martin my partner is watching Danny McGaskill as I type...the bike obsession starts hear!
