Some of you may know about my procrastinating (long word that, cheers norm) about my next bike, gone from a shortlist of 5 or 6, down to 2 or 3.
Finally made my mind up and plumped for the Tricross, ordered today, should be with me early next week.

You know Norm's got shares in Specialised don't ya?

He takes a cut for every recommendation he makes.

Anyhow, good luck and hope you enjoy your new bike.

Nice one Pots. Great bikes. I was so tempted to get one. It was between the Secteur and the Tricross. The Secteur won on 2 points. 1: The lighter weight of the Secteur 2: I don't like canti brakes.

Well, that's why I waited and got the 2012 one which has disc brakes
It is a tad heavier than the Secteur, but as it will be my winter/go anywhere anytime bike I don't think that will matter too much.
It will be fully guarded up, and comes with 32mm tyres, your favourite Armadillo Elites.
Got a nice little discount that sweetened the deal, think that might come out of norms commission ;)

Looks good, but I would add DIY extension flaps to both mudguards. The front one for your feet and transmission; the rear one for people riding behind you!

Will sort that out in due course Colin, compared to the Raceblades I'm used to these do cover a lot more anyway.

Dont worry colin there wont be many of them

We'll see on SITD Phil, I'll go extra slow to let you keep up
Nice. Bit clean mate ! :becool:
Far too clean for me Foss, I'll soon put that right tonight ^_^
Very nice indeed, just needs a decent rider on it now :bicycle:
Now now Norman, I expected that off Phil but I'm surprised at you :boxing:

Congrats. I've done about 2000 miles on my Tricross '11 this year. Wish I had disk brakes for the winter though.

Did my first commute last night, needs a few minor adjustments but the fit is almost there.
The Tiagra gear is very smooth, so much nicer than the Sora on my Secteur, the 32c tyres help soak up some of the dodgy road surface, only trouble I had was fitting my lights due to the space taken up by the 'sissy' levers.
Think I'll stick my seatpost rack on it later, and put another rear light on the seatstays.

I have left the reflectors and pie plate on for now, and the bell

The disc brakes felt good and positive, heard they need bedding in but if they get even better then I will be very impressed.
