Fireworks: What's going on?

It's Nov 3rd and I've not heard a single firework.

Maybe they have Fawked off - I hope so for anyone with a pet's sake.

Heard a few round here on Saturday evening,my poor cat runs for cover behind the settee at the first bang.
Not heard as many as usual though,maybe the recession has hit the scallies hard

Our first bonfire night with our cat. He doesn't seem to mind in the slightest. I love fireworks, might get hold of some for Saturday night and have a bonfire in the garden.

We’ve had a few, but the big posh hotel up the road has them every bloody weekend bang (pun) on 10.30 PM just as I’m getting into bed

I've heard plenty, but then we live in the Bonfire Soc. circuit around Sussex and Kent, which culminates in the big show in Lewes on the day itself.

Just watched little girl next door with some sparklers. Didn't notice if she had goggles and leather gauntlets up to the elbow on though . Seen some about over last couple of weeks but, agree, not as many as usual .

Mostly quiet round here too, have seen a few of those fly by night shops which open up for a couple of weeks selling them though.

Lewes is awesome fun. I've been a couple of times but won't make it this year.

Diwali is soon too. But I have heard and seen few fireworks already.
