Fizz! Bang! pop! .. :stop: theres one ... We've not had many too, it's normally like a war zone around here this time of year.

There's an Alabanian group who rent an old car repair yard in Newcastle. In the summer they advertise hand wash car cleaning but in the winter they sell any dodgy stuff they can find. This week they are selling half price fireworks.... Would you buy them? Admittedly they're probably the ones nicked from Saddam's WMD bunkers as he did look a bit surprised the UN didn't find them in Iraq....

Only heard one so far, but with Cindy our dog, this is no bad thing! She's still getting the calming pills though just in case though.

Actually, it is starting to get cold so I might have to get out her knitted red jumper because lets face it, a cute little 3 legged dog* wearing a wee jumper always gets the 'Awww' factor, does it not??

MDB, what happened to Cindy's leg? Our little terrier had a bad spinal problem (short legs, long back, prolapsed disc), and is a bit wonky even after surgery, but in no pain. As a stranger said in the park, " Yes, he is a bit " knit one, pearl one"). Very well put.

Quiet here too. In past years the Battle of the Somme has been re-enacted nightly from mid October to the end of November. I suspect the local authority prosecuting several retailers last year for selling to children and/or selling restricted fireworks has had the desired effect.
