Riding home from work tonight,going through a council estate I came across this, a Harris Hawk tethered to a frame in someones front garden. He was busy vacuuming, and as I cycle past these houses most nights and have never seen this before, I presume he keeps this bird in his flat!

Could well be, he also had a rather large dog in his garden, maybe it was "keeping the edgie", or the look-out if you don't speak Glaswegian.

Very beautiful bird when you see one close up. I used to watch a guy training / excercising his near the power station in Peterboro.

I can't remember what birds they had now, other than owls and a falcon handling session, but they used to have birds of prey at Brookside Garden Centre in Poynton, Cheshire, shame they got rid of them.
