Well, today should be fun/interesting!
A long standing arrangement to go out with my brother for a 30 mile blast today could turn out to be more difficult than I thought. I noticed yesterday a huge crack in the carbon forks on my fixed TT bike, dangerous to ride I reckon, no idea what happened... quite peeved tbh.
This means I have to do the ride on my MTB, never taken it more than a mile or two on the road before, all my big mileage trips have been on a road bike of some description... Not sure how much harder it will be, or if I will be able to keep up with my brother... He's on his road bike, but I am quite a lot fitter than him.
Just had my porridge and will be setting out fairly soon.
P.s. anyone know where to get a good, inexpensive, 1" threadless carbon fork?
