First ride on my Boardman this morning. 12.7 miles to Lyndhurst and back. Felt pretty good getting to grips with a road bike though the toe clips were a bit awkward to get used to. quick stop at Boultons bench half way through the ride before heading home.

I have the same model and i think for the money its a great bike !, changed the cassette to a closer range block and the bar tape to black.
Started with m520 pedals then moved to to single sideded spds with a larger platform .

Hopefully off with the club tomorrow for a ride and i keep getting asked if its carbon , its certainly the legs that hold it back, if santa is nice to me i might get a bit better wheel set but the ones on it have stayed true after a year of riding .It might be me but i find its a bike set up for fast riding but it has a bit of understeer on fast bends , i only notice it when going out with a fast group all one dream machines so it might be me ^_^

Lush bike mate i have one aswell  cant fault it so far except those annoying toe clips i took them off after my first ride just couldnt get on with them. Will go to clipless when i have the confidence and more importantly the cash

Ha Ha !
Seriously though new wheels will do me fine ,the rest of the bike is good enough and the rest will be bling as a carbon seatpost and stem would be nice but not essential.
Today really showed me how much i have lost in fitness over the last year as the other club riders in my group are doing 2-3 rides a week on top of the sunday run and all i get currently is commuting and a club run every couple of weeks .
