Collected my new Trek Lexa S today, only my second road bike ever.
Lovely ride this afternoon along the foot of the South Downs in the autumn sunshine. I really like the combined brake/shifters and the set-up is much better than on the old steel roadie. More user-friendly gearing means I can go a lot faster.
My bro, who I was riding with, waited at a junction as he wasn't sure of the way. I didn't know why he'd stopped, so I stopped as well- then remembered about the toe straps as I suffered my first-ever clipless-style sideways topple as I didn't have a foot out
No damage to me or the bike and had to laugh really. My only complaint was that the pub we pass on the way home was shut.
