In another attempt to break th epuncture curse I have switched from gatorskin hardshells to durano plus tyres. I also changed rim tape and tubes and talced up everything to excess lol!

Pumped up the tyures to 120psi as the guy in the LBS thought 145psi was excessive and my rims might not take it.

They ride much more solidly than the gatorskins to my mind, and although the bike felt a touch heavier, it's nothing of consequence at all.I also felt they griped a bit better around the corners.

I had expected them to be a pig to get on/off as I have marathon+ on my galaxy and they need a crowbar to get on off! But these were easy and I eevn managed to get them on without a lever.

So, so far so good...time will tell i guess.

I think the Blizzard is different and cheaper. I got some at £6 each from Planet X in a sale. Seem good and I only got them because they came in pretty colours!

The Durano is the endurance racing/training tyre, it's a at the bottom of end pricing & performance (for it's wear rate). They're hardly comparable to the Blizzard.

I dunno about the blizzards...I bought durano simply becaus eI am a big rider and was having puncture problems...if I had been a smaller rider I probably would have been ok on another tyre.

 glad your sorted In the meantime Im more than happy with gatorskin hardshells I just put on at christmas I hammer my commuter jumping in and out of gutter lines jumping pot holes ect ect and I have to say they are holding up very well and showing very little sign of wear V pleased

They don't make the Blizzards any more, which is why they are currently cheap, end of stock. I thought the Durano plus was it's equivalent.
