There is some similarity between cooking on an Aga and riding a Fixie.
No controls, nothing you can change, just get on with it. So mucking about looking for the right ratio or temperature.
Having fought against getting an Aga a decade ago, I now find it difficult to cook on anything else.
Having put my first (only) fixie together 18 months ago, I find I ride it by preference 9 times out of 10, rather than a reasonably lovely geared bike it lives with.
Are there other pieces of equipment where less is more in this way?
As everything gets higher and higher tech, is there some other antedeluvian technological throwback that still does the job as well (or better)?
