That looks pretty blue from that vid!
Sorry if it seems like I'm having a go at you Lizban! That isn't my intention. I'd just have thought that considering how slow that light change is it would be better off with reflective strips than lights. And I'd be worried I'd get collared by the filth ;) Be interested in hearing Vike's take on the lights if he reads this?

Didn't think you were having a go(but thanks for the concern) agree the lights change too slowly, I tend to use it on constant rather than alternate.

Don't forget with reflective strips you need the driver to have his lights on!

It's not the DEEP blue that Police emergency vehicles use, so no problem with the colour. I would be concerned about using Non Red colour to the rear though. Confusing to drivers?

That's good to know. Cheers!

While I have your attention officer, might I be able to ask you if I can be assured the somewhat deeper blue that my bluetooth headphones flash whilst on my bike aren't going to find me falling foul of the law? Without turning this into a heaphone thread?

Jetzon,
I think if any of my Nottingham collegues did decide to go down that route they would be pretty stupid / over zelouse! I certainly would not stop someone with a blue tooth ear piece in!

Not at all confusing, as I said previously, don't gauge the colour from YouTube videos.

It was pretty much exactly the same colour that the reflective strips either side of the lights threw back from my car's headlights. Imagine them to be like reflectives which don't need a light source to reflect and you'll not be too far off.

As far as I can recall, all rear facing lights must be red in colour, therefore the user of this bag could be FPN'd by the local Police.
But considering the number of cyclists with no lights, I would imagine the chances of being FPN'd are almost zero.

that law only relates to lights that are attached to the vehicle.
