Flight simulator Spitfire Mk IX

Just bought a copy of Flying Iron's Mk IX Spitfire for my flight simulator.

A few photos for your enjoyment. Start up procedure mastered, plane up in the air, but she's a bugger to land!

No, Microsoft FS is a bit too sanitised for guns, I think.

Landing is easy. It's being able to take off again afterwards that is tricky.

I gave the Spitfire a go at my Nephews not long back on DCS world. I couldn't even taxi to the runway. You have to pump the brakes and use the rudder to turn the thing and if you put too much power on it spins around, put too much brake on, it spins around. Think i'll stick to Battleships...

Have mastered landings now! (Well, mastered might be an overstatement, but I've got it down in one piece and still able to taxi in.)

All that tech to fly an old airplane! Just kidding. Looks like a good sim. The last time I played a FS seriously was about 12 years ago. Used to love it. Still do but I do not have the patience to set things up any more and I have a phobia of technology when I'm at home.
