3000mm hh is on the poor end of the spectrum for a fly sheet in the UK.
My last tent was 4000 and held up in a 12 to 15 hour rainy night, but as tents with a 5000 hh are easily available and it seems, no more expensive, this is now my choice for extended trips (anything where it might persist down for more than 3 days or nights.

Practically all new tents have a high water resistant rating. What they don't state is how well this will last in real use after continual folding and exposure to the elements. The edges will probably be the weakest part.

That means it can support a 3 metre high column of water. Think about that for a moment.
