foam pads for helmets...

Anyone know where to get these from? I went to the LBS but they only sell em for the expensive helmets. Mine is a cheap Spesh 'Air'-something-or-other.

They don't sell 'generic' foam pads that you can cut to shape.

If I don't get some soon, I will have 2 red marks on my forehead made by the velcro tabs.

(maybe I should take the velcro tabs off, too...)

This website has Bell-specific pads that you could maybe trim to correct size

I take the foam inserts straight out and put them back in the box.

1/ They collect sweat.
Especially the front one which likes to dump a big drip of sweat right in your eye ( sting ) when you don't want it.
2/ They start stinking.

sweat band?

I recall reading somewhere about using a sweat band (think 70's tennis players) cut to size and velcro to secure in place.
Never tried it myself so can't vouch for effectiveness.
Maybe worth a go?
