I see a row of four dots at a time - I look down the grid and a second row appears but then the first row disappears.

Even with a single row, it looks unstable with random dots disappearing and appearing.

As your eyes drift over the matrix, the one and only dot moves to different places.. Apparently

For some folk, anyway

You need to be viewing the image at the right size. I find if I zoom the page out (i.e. so text and other things are smaller), then I see only 1 dot. Zoomed in, I see all 8 dots.
