Does anyone else get this? Am going on holiday for 2 weeks with the good lady wife and no kids (B);):wahhey:) Thursday morning and I am still gutted I am missing this ride and the FNRttC on the 4th September!

I have always had this.. you are planning to do something great but your friends are doing something else and you get anxious about the fact you may miss the best day ever!

Or am I just mental?

I know exactly what you mean.

I make a conscious effort to be happy with my lot in life, because I know that even if I won millions there would still be something to detract from the situation being perfect...fear of getting robbed or the kids held to ransom etc etc.

Make the best of, and enjoy, what you have.

I always get this. Even if I'm relaxing somewhere nice and the thing I'm missing is a time-trial in the pissing rain.

Yep, I get it too. I don't do anything for fear of missing something.... does that make sense?

Enjoy your holiday. There'll be plenty of other rides but rarely do you get kid-free time with the misses.

Wigsie - life's too short, mate. There's a lot of compromise that has to be done. You makes your choices and you stand by them. Never look back and wish you had done something different. If the outcome to a choice is not what you wanted, look forward to determine what you can now to do to change things.

There will be other rides.

You will have an enjoyable holiday (that is an order!)

Make the most of it.

All the best.

Sounds good, plus could have talked turkey about diving too!

All these things I am missing out of... some of my friends are all going to the races too next weekend!

Can guarantee I am missing at least 3 'best days ever'.....

Orders taken... Will do... Just nipped into town this morning and bought some incredibly gay looking mirrored aviators to go with my selection of vests! All I need now is a cowboy hat and I am there!
