Forum software

I wondered if any of you could recommend some forum software?

I've had a look at the one cyclechat runs on and have been told about vBulletin, but wondered if there were any other ones people could suggest I look at.

It's initially for a small community project, but it is expected to be a busy one so the software needs to be fairly well road tested and stable.

Any thoughts?

Lots of forums use this http://www.phpbb.com/ although I don't know what it is like to install and maintain.

Thanks. I hadn't realised there were so many. I'll have a look at those later on.
