I remember him - a great spinner. When at the height of his career he lost several toes in a boating accident, it was thought at the time, that this would finish his career. He proved them wrong! - although he never bowled for England again, he continued to take wickets in county cricket...

RIP.

still remember him taking four wickets in an over in a Test match. That gangly, wobbly run and arm action was an inspiration at a time when every schoolboy bowler wanted to bowl like Wes Hall
