Free 4 bike towbar rack, Todmorden

A friend of a friend has a 4 bike Pendle bike rack which is surplus to requirements and he has asked me to advertise it here - free, gratis and for nothing!

It is towbar(ball?)-mounting and it has a numberplate/light board. Apparently, the plastic cover (lens?) on one light needs replacing. You would have to go and pick it up from his house in Todmorden. If you have any detailed queries, then you would have to ask the owner.

If you are interested and have already made at least 40 posts on CycleChat (to prevent someone signing up just to grab it and stick it on eBay!) post below - NB only if you genuinely want it for your own use!

I'd be interested - but only if it fits on a removeable towbar. It'd be for use on my Saab, so I don't need to use SWMBO's car.

I haven't seen the rack, but I heard it was available and thought that someone here would be able to use it.

as an add on I have a flanged towbar mounting 4 bike thule carrier that i used on the Jeep that won't fit her car so that needs to go. so if thats any use to anybody. and I will be travelling to N Wales for Half term so can take with me.

DCL is due to pick up the rack tomorrow, so unless there is some last minute technical hitch (e.g. it doesn't fit his car) then that's that!

Collected today - I've not fitted it yet but it looks like it'll fit fine. It'll need some paint / work on first though.

Having a convertible helped; we decided to drop the roof an rest it on the back seats rather than risk it being attached.

Assuming that I do get back on my bike in 2013, there might come a time when I need to take you up on that!
