Pity they didn't think of removing the barrier on the canal path just north of the NIA on NCN5.

I was up there last week on my Brompton with a little luggage and it was virtually impossible to penetrate. Another cyclist who turned up said you should try it with panniers. I think I'll decline that opportunity and filch a RADAR key if I have to do it again. Wouldn't it have been easier/cheaper to put 'No Cycling' signs instead?
