Years ago I did the structural roof design for a masonic lodge and was given a full set of drawings.
The building had a sub-basement, what the hell are they getting up to down there?

This is where they perform their occult rituals. It all goes back to the Rosicrucians and the Knights Templer, and going back further, pagan mystery cults. I expect this room is where they kiss each others bottoms in tradition of the Knights Templer, or where they drink the blood of slaughtered bulls in a Mithraic communion.

i have had an interest in masonry for some years and I took the opportunity to visit their HQ at Great Queen Street near Holborn in London some years ago when it was opened up in repsonse to a LOT of bad press they were experiencing at the time....I was interested to see a masonic badge for a cyclists lodge!

if you're genuinley interested in researching modern masonry a cycling forum wont be the best place to start.

A mate of mine I see in the pub is a member.

What is it all about?

This pub or mate wouldn't be the same as mentioned in your dilemma thread whether to grass drinking mates and potentially drink drivers to the police would it?

One of that group yes. Do you really think Freemasonry could get him off of a d & d charge?

I would suggest; not from the charge. Once the charge was raised it will have a life of its own with formal records and procedures. However, if the policeman who stops him, smells the dodgy breath, is a member of the same lodge, he might just 'forget' to take a sample of breath.
