My mum has this when it was first released. I am told by her, and several angry relatives with whom she lived, that she wore one copy of this out.

My Tubular Bells vinyl and the cassette recording I made got well played in the 70s, but I wouldn't dream of playing it now. The repetetive monotony of the music would drive me nuts these days.

the repetitive monotony of mike oldfield has always driven me nuts... I really don't understand why people rate him so highly... big deal... you can play the same easy riff on lots of different instruments, NEXT!
