Morning

Bright and very breezy.
I would like better weather Shafernaker (Tomasz) and Stav and Liz and Carol.

Hope that the wind drops so I can go pedal. Not feeling energetic enough to fight it.

Feed birds, drink coffee...

@sungod ?

Morning Workers. Off shortly on first proper bikepacking trip. Pedal up to the peak district followed by a few non bike activities then pedal back tomorrow. Hopefully. Need to try my gear out ready for another BP event coming up soon. Hopefully won't get to knackered or drunk. Have a nice wkend all.

Have fun oxo

Work with a few meetings, some exceptionally important, most not.

Later might be a swim and sauna before the pub - next race is two weeks away so should be tapering but arranged a day out in the mountains on Sunday

All you active posters eh. Envious me.

Last night was a phone discussion with GP whether she would arrange for me to go into hospital given the blood test results, or, as I was feeling a tad better than previous, I stay home phone by side just in case. Happy days eh.
Did stay home, long ok sleep, body seems to be recovering 🤞 Just had the morning call with another doc, they're watching me. At least I took in some of those liquid nutrient meal replacement things yesterday, is a start. Am I brave enough to try solid food today?

At least it appears not to be a repeat of last October's events, which is GOOD.

Damp under foot here so any pedalling will be later on, might go round with the vac as a token gesture to the household up keep.

We all assume health will always be there, when it isn’t it must be horrific 😢

Afternoon Wasters,

Busy morning - too busy for a Friday. Just had a spot of lunch then it's all downhill to the weekend. Bonus and payrise backdated to the start of April landed in the bank account earlier today so I'm happy and busy deciding what to do with it while resisting the urge to tell Mrs. 666. Regular cycling buddy is recovering from an injury so weekend pedalling will be a solo job.

@oxoman enjoy

@Pinno718 - What time do you call this? 8am? Tardy!

A'noon all.
Easy day. Stoma nurse appointment this morning. Half naked, lying on hospital bed whilst two young nurses play with my........side bottom 😉
Seems my IBD is flaring up as stoma is quite sore, bloody and swollen. Good job there are limited nerves in the gut! Had to call IBD team to get me started on meds again so waiting for a call.
Coffee and cake meet with my "other woman" Ostomate. She's lovely but I do think she's older than me, but I'm really not sure. It's impolite of a gentleman to ask of a ladies age!
Lunch then a bit of WFH, trip to pharma, trip to Sainsbury's for beer, drop a few pills and come up smiling on Saturday morning. oh the joys of ailing health....

Afternoon peeps. Good luck to the sickly bunch. Yep we definitely take our health for granted till it kicks us up the butt and says my turn. Take it easy. Currently on lunch stop enjoying a brew and butty.

Nope just the Buxton end of the peak district. Just trying the gear out. Need to get easier gears and lighten the load a little. About 20kg with bike takes some pedalling into the wind and uphill. The upside was no hike a bike. Tomorrow there will be some on the pennine bridle way.

A quick coat of paint on the outside window sill, the off out pedalling with OH, nice, slightly lumpy and breezy route to this week's cafe at a local golf course. Now relaxing with a cuppa (😬).
