Morning all, shock & horror this morning as the heating turned itself on. Definitely autumnal temperature. Taking car for service then pick OH up and do some retail therapy including a local bike shop. At least its stopped raining for a bit.
Since I run at about 5 degrees warmer than everyone else in the house, it's been time to revive operation: heat the person, not the space.
Asking someone to just put on another layer is an affront to their freedoms; asking them to wrap themselves in what amounts to a soft electric blanket? That's lush and (last year at least) on trend.
None of that CH malarkey here. Mrs P's thermostat has always been wonky which keeps me toasted (and gasping) and we haven't got CH either. Far too mild for the log burner, slept with the window ajar.
I've moved to the extra layer of kit strategy plus a hot cup of coffee for working in the cave, until it warms up a bit. Mixture of working, then a spot of hound sitting, then a mate is coming round to help get the software sorted on my new PC.
Cool and misty here first thing, now sunshine. Bernie walked and now finishing second coffee, I need to go for a ride before we head off to a wedding. Young Bertie is staying next door with Evie and Dusty and being looked after by Diane, he’s already made an escape to go see them. I wonder if he will remember us when we get back.
Nippy here but the hot tub is on so will heat up in that later.
Hopeful of a slightly longer ride tomorrow as my hamstring seems to be 99% there now.
May attempt a very limted effort run over the weekend, 2.37miles around the local lake/now puddle as I have a sprint tri on the 14th.
avocado stroll went well, after scoffing them with eggs, toast and a bubbly, went downstairs to give my condolences to the armani people and get some trousers, then down again to jlc for a natter and to enquire about a croc strap, during which they took me into the private room with the comfy chair and atmoses, and poured bubbly into me, i manfully resisted the second half-bottle, hic
i shall now have a coffee and a biccie, turn up the music and coast into the weekend
