Hi
Thought I would share an experience from the other night - Riding home from work approx 6:30pm ,so now quite dark, I approached a crossroads where I had right of way. A car started to pull out from the left straight into my path, he onlyn stopped when i shouted some choice words and as luck would have it as he stopped i was sat at a jaunty angle on his drivers side wing!! As I looked at me and apologised with sorry i didnt see you, he asked me to look away as the light on my helmet was bright - what can i say to that!!
I have now bought some additional lights and arm bands to compliment the 2 front and 2 rear lights and mynnight vision jacket.
No damage to me or the bike - but definately an eye opener:-)

Little bumps (thats what it sounds like) happen to us all from time to time. They are always best to learn by them.

Fortunately the last bump I was involved in was a driver hitting the rear of me in stop start traffic. He learned to pay a bit more attention. No damage was done but it was a good practice of exchanging details.

Everyone can have a lapse of judgement and not look properly, I try to be seen from every angle in the dark, easily, soo spoke reflectors are a must in the dark

You couldn't make it up. Hell, why are the car's intelligent engine management systems so much more intelligent than the brainless idiot behind the wheel.

Darwinian revenge - the monocellulars are starting to get their own back on evolutionary progress.

It's when you roll onto the bonnet into the windscreen, then they brake and you roll back off onto the tarmac it gets uncomfortable!!

I can tell you from experience that rolling over the bonnet of a vehicle is much more comfortable than hitting the tarmac.

Painful for your bike though as it tends to get mashed and for you if your cleats don't release. Try to avoid it would be my advice. Get an Airzound and fill it up with a track pump.

Wing mirrors, front wings, bonnets are all softer than the road. Shame I ended up on the road. My trusty 20 year old MTB built out of the finest Tange Cromo made a few dents in the car. Awesome bike to crash on, nothing breaks it, just me that falls to bits.
