When starting a ride home from work, I heard a click sound, and lost all pedal assist. The bike was operating fine up to this point in time. No error messages on the display. What is really strange is that the bike will no longer roll backwards. When I removed the rear wheel from the bike, the wheel will not roll backwards. I initially thought that the problem resided in the hub assembly. I purchased a new internal hub assembly, and this did not fix the problem. After re-installing the wheel, still no pedal assist, and the bike will not roll backwards. I hate to start buying parts from China not having a good idea as to the point of failure. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance to your reply.

What do you mean by this? Do you mean that the pulley won’t spin backwards (freewheel)? Or that the wheel won’t spin backwards on the axle? If the latter I would suspect the hub assembly. However I don’t know why this would impact the pedal assist. Reading the reviews on the Fuell website it looks like they are not great at customer support.
