Riding HERE today approaching the junction ahead, and with a car following behind I had an amusing moment. The picture betrays quite how many parked cars there were here. The whole of both corners and the road on approach was full of them. SUVs, vans, big "little" cars, etc. Even right on the corner (which is typical here). Visibility is crap, the space was limited.
So I take the center line towards the junction to make myself be seen and get some space. However as I got within 4 or so feet of the junction giveway markings Mr BMW decided to try and chance it and swung in past me to turn right, ito Charlton Road. He couldnt go anywhere, and I wasnt about to ride out into a road when I cant see whats coming.
So there was this stalemate between him and the car that had been following behind me. He looked quite sheepish as I found myself give a little chortle.
Its times like this that you wonder why more dont try bikes or motor cycles.
