Live on the Wirral and regularly ride into (just) North Wales, generally then back via Chester somehow.
I am looking to delve deeper into North Wales (via Ruthin etc) but am at a slight loss of how to continue from Queensferry along back roads (don't want to go near the main dual carriageway).
Does anyone have any well used routes that I could try?
From Ruthin Im pretty sorted as to where to head next...
Cheers

The back roads will take some planning. It's either the coast road or the A55 which is a no go.

Coast road is boring as its not that near the coast.
