GCSE results thread...

My son achieved 1 x A*, 3 x A, 5 x B, 3 x C and 1 x D. I'm very proud , especially since his A* and one of his A results were for extra subjects he didn't study for apart from receiving a little 'after-school' tuition for a couple of months prior to the exams.

Apparantly I'm the only person someone has heard of achieving both A*'s and U's

I've got an apprenticeship as a mechanic, so i'm happy

My lot haven't done any GCSEs this year but my youngest daughter did well in her AS results - 3 As and a B.
Not 'soft' subjects either, Maths, Chemistry, Biology and the B was in Religious Studies (didn't do a stroke of work for it and is gutted she didn't get an A!)
