Did you know that only pretty girls pass their GCSEs? A cursory examination of the pictures on the Times, Telegraph and Daily Mail websites would seem to confirm this...

I've bought wigs for my two sons.

You obviously missed the Radio4 or R5 Live article last week - the schools phone up the rags and TV stations well in advance telling them that they have some especially pretty girls to photograph this year and some even send in photo's to prove it.

The rags just pick the prettiest and book an appointment for the photoshoot.

Nothing is allowed to get in the way of self-promotion where schools are involved!

Damn, my girls didn't get photographed
But they did do well:
I've got one beautiful daughter right here with her results today: 3xA*, 5xA, 2xB and we're trying not to mention the D.
I've other beautiful daughter (who's naffed-orf to the Reading Festival) got an A* in Art, and 2 x C for Biology and English A-levels gaining a place at Oxford Brookes for an Art Foundation course.
And all paid for by the humble tax payer.
Am I a proud and smug Dad?

You F'in bet. :becool:

of course you know the exams have got easier :hello: nothing to do with kids being educated better and working harder to get the results . its all easy exams you know.

and what grates , is the daily wail in 6 weeks will be bemoaning the fact that the yoof of today don't work hard to get good results..

Yep we did the GCSE thing today too ... very pleased with her 3 A*, and rest of them A's. But the brainiest kids in the school (of the results we have found out), seemed to be 2 boys bucking the trend for girls to do best.
