  • Use a work-stand and swear as it wont clamp your funny shaped frame?

It has happened to me. However, if you hang the bike up so that the reservoir is at the top then the air will work its way back out again! :0) Saves bleeding it.

I sort of do a combination of several of those... I use a stand, often get a mate to help and when its really bad I pop into my LBS, look feeble and he usually does it in about 1 min and we have a nice chat while he is doing it (and doesn't charge me).

I have a rather nice Park PRS-15 workstand, but for gear fettling I just hang the bike up on the rack I have in the garage. I installed the rack up high on the wall so that gears are about chest height and it takes no time at all.
