Hello,
I have a recent problem with my lower gears slipping. On the small ring at the front and larger wheel at the back but it slips down into the next highest gear. Most annoying when climbing!!
Is there any adjustments I can make to alleviate this???
Cheers
Steve

On your Derailleur there is two screws 1 saying H and the over saying L it's the L you need to be looking at. Undo it 1/8 of a turn and then have a ride if that's not done it go to the cable adjuster and undo that 1/8 of a turn as see if that has done it?

No, No, No.

Adjust the L limit stop YES, but don't touch the cable tension adjuster. This should only be moved after correctly aligning the chain to the smallest sprocket.

Go to Shimano's website to download any instruction manual.

BTW, the rear mech cable tension adjuster is one bit that NEEDS oiling and caking with grease, If both parts are aluminium, road salt shoot will cause them to tarnish and lock together.
