I try to avoid it when he's on tv if I can tbh

I do see where you are coming from on this but then surely Sir Bob - Just play the game!!

We live in a world of tabloid trash and if you get 30 people in a room for another band aid record the press will want to get a story on it. They may make up the story but then they are doing exactly what is wanted - putting a spotlight on the record. So why not just accept that and use the chance to promote the cause on Sky rather than blow it and get cut off early in the interview.
Surely he managed to alienate more people away from the project than the number the interview attracted to give to it.

He is like someone opening a bag of bread by a pond and griping that the ducks come over instead of handing out the bread.
But then perhaps he sees the fuss selling better than trite.

Aah Saint Bob, did anybody read that aircrew forum link about famous types encountered on the job, as it were, that somebody posted here ( I think it was here) a while back. He didn't come out of that smelling of roses.

Even the BBC can't stand him now... he's put himself squarely in competition to their Children in Need campaign [and that [awful] choir single]...

Eeeeh, the complexities of being mega-rch and a 'famous celebrity'

That Choir song is rubbish, I'm amazed it got to No 1 for one week!
I was surprised that Simon Cowell let geldof on X Factor because they are also in competition with the X factor winner too.

The thing I dislike about Sir Bob is that he was a pish poor singer (in my opinion) and has suddenly become the elder statesman of 80's music all because of his BA profile. That and the fact that Midge Ure doesn't get much of the credit for BA, when, from what I read, he was the main player.

The latter comment must be taken in context. I am a Scot, albeit a well balanced one - I have a chip on both shoulders
