Hi all.
I'll be cycling through Germany on my next tour and looking for places of interest to see. As of yet there's no fixed route so open to all ideas. So far i've got the River Danube on the list

I was taken with the Bodensee, and the Zeppelin museum at Friedrichshafen.
Berlin is one of my favourite cities. Germany is very under-rated IMHO.
Auntie Helen should be along in a bit to put her zwie-pfennigs worth in. She's mad keen on Germany.

Try to get to Burg Eltz - it's much better than the Disneyesque Neuschwanstein. Also, Nürnberg, Rothenburg ob der Tauber. Basically, you can't go wrong with any route in Germany. If you can get to Austria, check out Schönbühel, Melk and Krems (all along the Danube).

True ^^^. Almost any of the towns on the Romantische Strasse are worth visiting.
I'll add Landsberg, Donauworth, Dinklesbuhl Nordlingen and just off, Bamberg with it's smokey beer.

I'm touring in southwest Germany as I write, and so far can recommend following some of the lesser-frequented river valley cycle routes. The Murg and Glatt across the Black Forest have been quiet and scenically top notch. I'm now in Tubingen, with four more days down the Neckar to Heidelberg. Personally, though, I don't tend to tour to see big cities, concentrating instead on the countryside and small town, of which there are plenty in these parts. Don't feel compelled to follow the hoards down the famous routes (the Neckar's busy enough) - there are more scenic bike routes than you can throw a stick at or you can make up your own from the comprehensive network of signed bike links between every town.

Tubingen is indeed a great town, as is Freiburg. Dresden is wonderful, esp seeing as it's at the end of the Elbe radweg. I've toured a lot in Germany, and really like it. Not only is it a great looking country with vibrant, interesting cities, its infrastructure for cyclists is excellent.
One of the places I'd love to go but have not yet had the opportunity is the Baltic. Looks great, though.
