Hi!

I have Miche Excite Clincher Road Bike wheels on my road bike with Specialized All Condition 23 x 700 tyres.

Would it be possible to fit Schwalbe Marathon Winter studded tyres which are 35 x 700 to these wheels or are they too big/wide?

Comments welcome.

Thanks,
Mark

More than likely going to be to wide.

I can get 30 mm Schwalbe cyclo X tyres on to my Open Pro rims.
Chances are they can be fitted to your rims too, even if outside Sheldon's suggested limits.
The clearance on the frame is much more likely to be the limiting factor.

You'll get them on the wheels (cyclocross tyres fit on standard road wheels) but I doubt you'll be able to get the wheels back in the frame as clearances won't be big enough and brakes won't fit round the tyres.

These tyres are big and wide and will only fit on suitable frames such as touring bikes or mountain bike frames. I know we sell them in our shop and have them on own bikes.

Thanks for the info - much appreciated. I'm having kittens about my first icy commute!
