Getting my new ride tonight

After much um'ing and arh'ing I've decided to go for the Carrera Virago instead of the Boardman Team (the Alu one). Went onto the Halfords web site last night and reserved one in my size. Had been to Halfords over the weekend and tried both out on a turbo to get the feel of them. The Carrera just seemed to fit me better and felt more in tune with my cycling style.

Will write my views on it after a few weeks but looking forward to putting it through it's paces tomorrow on a 40 miler.

PS. I've ordered it boxed and unassembled so that no Halfords monkey tinkers with it (although to be fair Halfords Wakey have done good work for me previously). That'll be my job tonight

Wow! When me and my girlfriend went to our local branch to look at a Boardman for her, they wouldn't even put pedals on the bike for her to sit on and check the fit until we took it to the management level! A manger put on some pedals, but that was as far as they would go, no test ride, no turbo trainer................. NO SALE!

They are pretty good at the Wakefield branch. I've never had any issues there. Can be a bit slow sometimes but the job is always done properly. Never known them to be rude or obstructive either which is why they get my business when I buy from Halfords.

some branches of halfords should be closed down,others should be praised for offering a good service.
i have made complaints to HQ before and go a reply lol
