had a lovely commute in this morning - the sun shining, motorists being considerate even through cambridge and i'm finding myself at least 2 gears bigger along stretches that i was struggling a bit with...my legs seem to be adapting rather splendidly - i didn't have my app' running for speed but it felt much easier and much quicker on the 5.5 mile road section this morning - no wind helped, lots! reckon i covered it in 20 minutes which is about 8-10 minutes faster than 14 days or so ago, i'm really pleased

Lost it, got it again.
Good going. Do you do both ways 5 days each week?

cheers  my commute obviously follows my work pattern so, 3 days in, 2days off etc etc...

it's 5.5 miles of road - 15 mins rest on the train to the city - then 3.5 miles through the city to work - i actually really really enjoyed it today.

hmm...that'd make it roughly 36 miles round trip - i may give that idea some thought after 6 months or so!

My round trip is 32 miles. Feels very comfortable, and I only started two weeks ago.

Mind you I am a fair weather cyclist so if it's raining I will be driving.

But don't wait 6 months to try it, the weather will just be getting bad then. Test it on a beautiful summer day to get a feel for it.
