Well done for writing Pat"5mph", but....
Mr Greatrex failed to say that as an MP he has no say in Scottish transport issues which have been devolved to Holyrood for quite a number of years now. He refers to The Times campaign which has completely failed to engage with Scottish cycling bodies or politicians. His highlighting the problem with HGVs is an indication of his lack of knowledge of Scottish affairs, he appears unaware that HGV/cyclist incidents are in the main a London problem. A serious problem, but not one that we should be sidetracked to, taking the focus off our own problems on rural roads. Mr G would have been more helpful if he had directed you towards an MSP who could have commented more fully (maybe) on the situation in Scotland.

Well, in fairness to Mr. Greatrex, @snorri I was following the Times link to ask your local MP to addend a cycling infrastructures debate in Westminster.
Point taken though, will find out who the MSP for my area is.
