Hi having just bought my new Giant bike, I noticed that it had the cutout in the frame to fit the cadence/speed monitoring equipment.
I'd also like the ability to monitor heart rate.

Now, I'm a bit of a noob when it comes to knowing exactly what I need.

As I understand it, I will need the neos pro computer, ant+ speed/cadence sensor (fits into the frame) and also the BPM heart rate belt? Anything I missed?

The cost of these 3 sets of components is about £120 from a quick look around. Has anyone here a similar setup on a Giant or have a similar setup on another bike that maybe I could look into?

Thanks for any help/advice in advance.

the ant+ transmitter that goes into the cutout in the frame will transmit to any ant+ enabled computer. Even my phone (a sony xperia z1) has ant+ capability but many people (and myself) use garmin computers. You don't need to use the Giant computer unless you want to.

Again with the hrm, any ant+ (uncoded) heart rate belt will transmit to any ant+ computer. I use a garmin premium heart rate monitor but with a polar soft strap because it's far better quality.

Any garmin from 500 series up,ANT+ HR strap(which you can get from decathlon) and the GIANT Ridesense module

My bars is the last place I would want my phone, but each to their own

Thanks for all the suggestions. Don't really want my phone on the bars as it has a 5.5" screen and may not work that well for me.

Also I wasn't aware that any Ant+ device would be an option. I just want as little cables hanging around as possible really.

Not really thought about Garmin type option as I have strava which I'm more than happy with for gps but I'll look into it for sure.

Not gonna be purchasing this month anyway as the bike purchase was all I could get away with!!!
